Getting started with ClarityPay

What is ClarityPay?

ClarityPay helps you pay for considerable expenses over time, while enabling you to purchase the service or products you want today. We enable an easy application process so you can discover the terms you qualify for and empower you to select a plan that works with your budget. We also provide support and assistance to ensure everyone with a ClarityPay account have access to a clear and simple payment experience.

Can I apply for loan or payment plan directly with ClarityPay?

No, you will get access to the ClarityPay application through the business you’re making your purchase with. We work with businesses (service providers, retailers, and other merchants) as a lending technology platform to help their customers, like you, get access to payment plans and other financing offers with an easy, digital application.

How does ClarityPay ensure safe, secure and fair lending practices?

We take extensive precautions to protect your personal and payment information. We use robust, industry-leading procedures and safeguards, including identify verification and encryption technology.

And, every loan with ClarityPay is provided by DR Bank, member FDIC.

Do you offer joined or co-signed loans?

At this time, ClarityPay only supports loans with the individual that applies, and does not offer joint or cosigned loans

How does ClarityPay verify my identity?

ClarityPay is required to obtain, verify, and record information that verifies each person who opens an account with us. When you apply for a loan, you will be asked to provide information that we can use to identify you, including your name, address, date of birth, and social security number. Applicants may also be asked to provide bank, debit, or credit card information for further identity verification.

How does ClarityPay use account information to verify my identity?

Bank account, debit card, and credit card information can help verify your identity, as that information can be compared to the information that the bank has on record, and it can also be used to initiate small transfers (of ten cents or less) to or from your account. These methods can help validate the authenticity and validity of the accounts, avoid errors, and prevent identify theft.

How do I get a ClarityPay account?

You will get access to the ClarityPay application through the business you’re making your purchase with. Once you have decided to use ClarityPay to make your purchase and you have completed the full application (including agreements and any required up-front fees such as “origination fees”), you will then be sent an automatically generated email and SMS that provide a link to your account to sign in.

How do I sign into my account?

Go to account.claritypay.com.

Your username is the cell phone (“mobile phone”) number that you originally registered in your application. Be sure to use the same phone number.

If it’s the first time you’re signing in or you forgot your password, please create a password. To create a password click "Sign Up" link just below the Log In button. Enter your phone number to be texted a one-time code. Once verified, you can create a password. If you have further issues with this process, please feel free to contact us and we’re happy to assist you.

Go to account.claritypay.com. Click "Forgot Password" link just above the sign in button. Enter your phone number to be texted a one-time code. Once verified, you can create a password. If you have further issues with this process, please feel free to contact us and we’re happy to assist you.

How can I access my loan information and payment details?

You can access and manage your loan through your account (account.claritypay.com). Once your loan is approved and fully processed, you’ll receive an email confirming your account can be accessed.

Once you sign in, you will see a summary of your loan, payment plan, amount due, and amount due date. This is also where you can adjust your payment method as needed or turn on AutoPay.

How do I update my address?

You can update the address on your account by signing into account.claritypay.com and go to the Profile & Settings page. Then click on the Edit button in front of the address field. Please note a physical address is required. PO Boxes will not be accepted in the address fields. You will receive a confirmation email after your address is successfully updated.

How can I change my name for a married name, etc?

To change your name, please email support@claritypay.com with the details of your request along with a copy of the appropriate legal documentation which has your updated name. For name change due to marriage, a copy of the marriage certificate is preferred. In case of divorce, a copy of the divorce decree is preferred. However, a copy of a driver's license or social security card reflecting the change is acceptable in both cases.

How do I change my email address?

You can update the email address on your account by signing into account.claritypay.com and go to the Profile & Settings page. Then click on the Edit button in front of the email address field. You will receive a confirmation email after your email address is successfully updated.

How do I change my phone number?

Please reach out to support@claritypay.com. Ensure you email us from your registered email address on your loan account to help validate your identity.

How can I check which phone number I have used for my account ?

If you can’t remember which phone number you used, please contact us.

Making payments

How do I make a payment?

To make a payment, sign in to your account and select "Make Payment" on the dashboard. You can schedule the date and select the amount to pay. If you haven’t already, you can also “Turn on AutoPay” directly in your account for the easy way to always pay on time, automatically.

How do I add or change a bank account connected to my payments?

Sign in and click on ‘AutoPay’ or ‘Make Payment’ on the dashboard. In either destination you will see the opportunity to add or modify your payment method. Also, you can update your payment details on the Profile & Settings page.

How do I turn on AutoPay?

Sign into your account (account.claritypay.com). Once signed in, you’ll see your loan summary view and a link to ‘Autopay is Off’. Click the link and see the toggle to ‘Turn on’ AutoPay. After you click the toggle you’ll be directed to confirm or add a payment method.

That’s it! Enjoy on-time, automatic payments and we’ll send notifications after your payments have been made so you know you’re on track. Need assistance? Our support team is happy to help guide you through the steps or securely set up AutoPay for you. Contact us.

How do I turn off AutoPay?

Call us at 1-800-272-6100 between 8am and 9pm ET and our support team will assist you in turning off AutoPay.

Please be sure to call us at least 3 days before your next payment date to ensure your changes go into effect prior to the scheduled date.

How do I change my payment due dates to better align with my paydays?

Call us at 1-800-272-6100 and we’ll be happy to help modify your payment schedule to better work for you. Our customer support team is available daily from 8am to 9pm ET.

How do I know if my payment went through?

It can take 2-5 business days for a transaction to post to your card or bank account. It will show in as “ClarityPay – DR Bank”. We’ll also send email notifications confirming your payment went through.

You can view a summary of all processed payments in your account. Sign in at account.claritypay.com and click on “Payments” in the navigation to see a summary of all payments made.

How do payments appear on my statements?

Payments that are successfully processed will appear in your bank or credit/debit account as ClarityPay – DR Bank.

When is my payment due?

Once your loan has been fully processed and ready to start, you will receive an email with all details – including your first payment due date. You can view your due date, make a payment, or enroll in Autopay anytime within your account (account.claritypay.com).

Is there a penalty for paying off my loan balance early?

You always have the option of paying down your balance due and scheduling additional payments ahead of your due date. There is never a penalty for paying off your loan early, and in fact, it will save you money as less interest will accrue in your account.
